Colgate University Libraries’ Discovery Layer

Thursday, August 13, 2020:  10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Colgate Libraries provide access to many information resources that differ in subject, scope, and level of description. Access to resources also differs in numerous forms of search interfaces. The Colgate Libraries provide a single search platform to access most of the disparate resources provided by the libraries. This is euphemistically known as a “discovery layer”. This session will describe and explain the content, elements and processes available for structuring and refining information discovery in Colgate’s search engine.

This will take place as a Zoom meeting. Participants will receive the link to join the meeting via their confirmation email.
