TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Wednesday, March 31, 2021: 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM
The registration period has closed for this event.
Join this workshop to see how your students can benefit from access to Otter.ai. Otter.ai is a transcription tool that uses voice recognition technology to convert the spoken word to text. When used in the classroom or in a Zoom session, the transcript appears simultaneously with the conversation or lecture. Seeing the transcript while hearing it can benefit many students including those whose primary language is not English, students with a hearing impairment and students who don’t have a reliable internet connection. The transcript can be made available to students after class to use as searchable class notes with synchronized audio and for students who missed class..
Otter.ai can also be used to transcribe audio recordings.
This will take place as a Zoom meeting. Participants will receive the link to join the meeting via their confirmation email.
At the completion of this session, participants will be able to:
Request an Otter.ai account
Have access to instructions for integrating Otter.ai with Zoom
Apply the use of Otter.ai in their course to benefit students
