Description

 

The Online Learning Academy II (OLAII) seeks to meet faculty where they are in their experience and understanding of online instruction. This Academy is designed for instructors/faculty who are experienced facilitators in the online learning environment. Completion of the Online Teaching Academy prior to enrolling in OLA II is not required but is strongly encouraged. Coursework for Online Learning Academy II includes videos, activities, readings, discussions, and risk-free implementation of advanced user online instructional strategies. The Advanced Online Learning Academy meets online for eight weeks and expects approximately five hours a week to successfully complete learning objectives.

 

Objectives:

 

You will explore, discuss, and effectively apply

  • “Designing for Learning” techniques
  • Methods to foster community, student persistence, and success
  • Online student motivation strategies

Location

This offering of the Online Learning Academy II will take place completely online within a Canvas course. You will not be expected to attend any sessions on campus. Participants will receive an invitation to the course prior to the start date.
