Getting to Know UDL: What Is It & Why Use It?

Facilitated by: Elizabeth Weatherford

This presentation/workshop will discuss the general aspects of Universal Design for Learning, why it is not only helpful for students, but also faculty, and fundamentals for getting started. While some of the information will be in presentation format, participant interaction will be facilitated throughout. Towards the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to think about how to implement UDL into their courses, as well as ask questions.

About Us

The Lucas Center for Faculty Development

The Lucas Center supports activities that help you grow as a teacher. Most of our topics and programs are the result of feedback from the FGCU faculty community perception of needs. Our Center offers creative learning experiences focused in the areas of teaching, learning, assessment and scholarship. Watch for e-mails announcing activities that may interest you. Our goal is to be a consistent source of support to faculty by providing activities that are engaging, inspiring, practical, and useful.
