Join this session for District Leaders & Administrators hosted by Melissa Gill with IDOE's Jason Callahan and Flora Jones to understand what is behind this initiative! This session will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM and will be recorded and shared with all registrants.
Flora Jones is an experienced Director Of Counseling Services and Early College Development and leadership with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. She is skilled in Public Speaking, Mentoring, Program Development, Leadership, and Staff Development. Flora is a strong healthcare services professional with a Master's degree focused in Educational Leadership and Administration with General from Butler University.
Jason Callahan is the current Assistant Secretary of Student Pathways and Opportunities for the Indiana Department of Education. Prior to joining the department Jason served over 20 years as a building and district administrator. During this time Mr. Callahan focused on building a legacy of opportunity for all students increasing the educational attainment for students through the development and endorsement of an Early College; the creation of a focus on global citizenship to include a Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program and international school partnerships in Japan and China; and the development of career pathways blurring the lines between K-12 higher education and industry. Before entering administration Callahan spent 4 years teaching English language arts. Prior to his service to Indiana students Mr. Callahan served his country in the United States Air Force. He earned his B.S. in English Education his Master’s in Educational Administration and his Ed.S. from Ball State University. For his work in changing the educational culture in Wabash County Indiana Callahan was awarded him the State’s prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash Award in 2014. Jason is the proud father of two sons Caleb and Elijah.

Melissa Gill has been an educator for 20 years. Her career path includes classroom teacher, instructional coach, and district administrator. She has also facilitated professional development and provided MTSS leadership support. Melissa loves supporting teachers in and out of the classroom so they can successfully meet the needs of students. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

*Cost of all workshops are based on membership in an Indiana Educational Service Center (ESC). Any registrants who are not members of an ESC in the state of Indiana will be required to pay the non-member fee.

WVEC CANCELLATION POLICY:
* Registrants who notify WVEC of their cancellation on or before the registration deadline date will not be required to pay the registration fee.
* Registrants who cancel after the registration deadline but before the workshop date or call to cancel on the day of the workshop will pay 50% of the registration fee.
* Registrants who neglect to call or notify the WVEC of their cancellation will be responsible for paying the full fee.
* On official school corporation weather-related cancellation days, registrants will not be required to pay registration fees.
