Course sequence begins April 4
In-person Course- Leveraging the best of real-life business experience and Drake University's proprietary methodology, this program is designed to equip emerging leaders/managers with the competencies required to drive success in their team and business. Participants will focus on how they utilize their role to effectively grow teams, empower others, create accountability, and connect the day-to-day with the overarching business needs. The program will help participants increase their (business) critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities and grow their peer network via experiential learning and collaboration with other participants.
Course Objectives:
*Understand the basics of leadership, expectations as a manager and key competencies required to successfully transition to a successful leader/manager
*Increase ability to connect the day-to-day work to the larger business needs, goals, vision and competitive landscape
*Learn how to enhance communication in order to motivate, manage conflict and create team accountability
*Study the key approaches to coaching and delegation to increase the enthusiasm and ambition of your team members, whilst enhancing performance

Problem Solving & Decision Making: April 20 - 9:00- 4:30 pm
Strategic Leadership Communication: May 17 - 9:00- 4:30 pm
Emotional Intelligence and Leadership: June 7 - 9:00- 4:30 pm
Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: June 21 - 9:00- 4:30 pm
