All Members of the School Community

Participants will:

• Learn strategies and tools for regulation
• Learn the basic concepts of neurosequential development and how to apply this knowledge to the teaching and learning process
• Understand how to better support dysregulated students and adults
• Apply that knowledge to work with students within and outside the classroom, particularly those students with adverse childhood experiences
• Take away research based structures, resources and tools to support healthy brain development and SEL skill acquisition for students and adults

This professional development session is a central part of our work in SEL at Lane ESD. In a highly-interactive format, we engage participants in a learning community centered around some emerging understandings in neuroscience and explore what we can do to realign our school systems, structures, and practices to offer greater 'neurological equity' to all members of the learning community.
