American Sign Language Level 1

 

Basic sign language to get you started!

 

This is a 10 session virtual class, each session will be held on Monday nights starting February 27, 2023 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm for ten consecutive weeks. Attendee's receive 1 CEU for every session they attend.

Audience

This class is designed for parents and caregivers, as well as educators who use sign language with students.


Goals

Beginning fluency in American Sign Language. Topics will include basic communication of wants and needs, introductions, and fingerspelling.


Description

Join Deanna Donaldson, Deaf Interpreter and Interpreter Trainer, for beginning ASL and introduction to Deaf Culture. This is the first in a two part series and will be provided without interpretation. Have no fear! You can do this! (an interpreter will be on hand if absolutely needed!)
