Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations/Replacements can be made up to one week prior to the program. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration on the webpage by September 8, 2023. No refunds will be given after September 8, 2023. There is no refund for the booklet.


Audience

We welcome all nurses preparing for the oncology certification exam or oncology nurses interested in current best oncology practices.


Details

This course will provide registered nurses with classroom instruction and nursing expertise to prepare them to take the Oncology Certification Nurse (OCN®) exam through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC®). This course is not developed, provided, sponsored, or endorsed by ONCC® and the content may or may not be reflective of an actual certification exam. Although the material presented may be helpful to a nurse preparing for a certification exam, participation in a review course does not guarantee successful completion of a certification exam.

 

Program Objectives:

  • List two strategies for studying for the test
  • Outline one health promotion strategy
  • Be able to describe oncology disease processes, treatment; symptom management; and nursing care
  • Give examples of oncologic supportive care
  • Distinguish the different types of oncologic emergencies

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form
