All nurses, physicians, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical assistants, and individuals working with the older adult.


This program will provide current information and evidence-based practice guidelines that will enhance clinical and professional practice related to the care of the older adult. Topics will include enhancing knowledge of falls and prevention measures, partnerships to reduce the use of harmful medications, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and what matters most to the older adult, and so much more!


Program Objectives:

  • Discuss integrating Age-Friendly care across the continuum
  • Discuss how nurses can partner with physicians to achieve best outcomes and avoid potentially harmful medications
  • Identify two ideas that matter the most to the older adult
  • Demonstrate communication strategies that promote increased trust, validation of emotions, and utilize hospitality skills for employees in various disciplines


In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form
