Audience

We welcome all nurses, physicians, social workers, mental health practitioners, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professions interested in learning more about the microbiome and how that impacts our health.


Details

The microbiome plays a crucial role in optimal daily operation of the human body. This program will focus on tools and practical tips to start and/or maintain this lifestyle.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Identify how to start and/or maintain a healthy lifestyle to better serve the microbiome
  • Discuss lifestyle behaviors to build immunity
  • List practical tips for healthcare providers, and individuals to positively impact their microbiome

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form

Physical Therapy And Physical Therapist Assistants: These disciplines have their own certificate when credit is obtained from Nebraska Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. This offering meets the continuing education criteria for 1.25 clock hours for Nebraska physical therapists.

 

Physicians: The Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development is accredited by the Nebraska Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

 

The Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Respiratory: This offering meets the continuing education criteria for 1.25 clock hours for Nebraska Respiratory Care Practitioners.

 

Social Work: This offering meets the continuing education criteria for 1.25 clock hours for Nebraska Social Workers.

 

Speech Therapy: This offering meets the continuing education criteria for 1.25 clock hours for Nebraska Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

 

Education Credit: 1.25 Education hours. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development assigns education hours based on 60 minutes of classroom instruction for each offering.
