Methodist Health System employees who provide their employee ID number on the registration form may take this course at no cost. NMC Alumni who provide graduation year and last name at graduation may take this course at no cost. NMC students can attend at no cost but do not receive CE. Heartland Family Services employees may take this course at no cost.

We welcome nurses, physicians and all healthcare professionals providing health information to patients that want to improve patient outcomes.


Details

Come learn motivational interviewing, a technique for health care providers to use in assisting patients to become actively engaged in their health care goals!

 

Program Objectives:

  • Explain when and how to use motivational interviewing to assess patient's readiness to change
  • Assess patient's barriers to implementing health recommendations by using Motivational Interviewing skills
  • Change their language to empower their patients and build collaboration to develop an actionable plan

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form
