Audience

We welcome all nurses, physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, respiratory technicians, social workers, mental health practitioners, and other health care providers interested in learning more about diversity, equity, and inclusion.


Details

The purpose of the series is to identify the importance of honoring the uniqueness of each individual, embracing the diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong, inclusive community within the healthcare system.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Identify the importance of pronouns
  • Discuss sexual orientation vs. gender identity
  • Explain terminology of LGBTQ+

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form

Respiratory: This offering meets the continuing education criteria for 1.0 clock hours for Nebraska Respiratory Care Practitioners.

 

Education Credit: 1.0 Education hours. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development assigns education hours based on 60 minutes of classroom instruction for each offering. Participants may use these for their professional continuing education hours and toward re-licensure if so approved within the standards and guidelines of their discipline.
