Attendees must be capable of wearing well-fitted, hospital-grade, multilayer procedural masks. Fabric masks, gaiters, vented masks, face shields and bandanas are not allowed. Appropriate masks will be provided at entrances. Fabric masks over surgical masks and nonvented N95/KN95 masks may be allowed.

Value: $300.00 Cost: $150 or $195 with the purchase of a non-refundable booklet. If you choose not to purchase a booklet, the handouts will be available in the 'Course Materials' section of this registration page.

We welcome all nurses and any other healthcare providers interested in learning more about the core components of infection prevention and control in healthcare settings.


Details

The Nebraska Infection Control Network (NICN) Primary Infection Prevention course offers a combination of lectures, discussions, and educational activities on the prevention and control of infections in various health care settings.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Choose at least one new infection control method to integrate into practice
  • Discuss ways to prevent and stop the transmission of infection

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form

Education Credit: 7.75 Education hours. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development assigns education hours based on 60 minutes of classroom instruction for each offering. Participants may use these for their professional continuing education hours and toward re-licensure if so approved within the standards and guidelines of their discipline.
