Details

The purpose of this program is to explore strategies that enhance student learning in the clinical setting. This year’s Teach the Trainer will offer ways to flip your clinical setting, tips on applying VARK learning strategies, tools and techniques to improve the student experience, and more!

 

Program Objectives:

Speakers

  • Identify strategies to assist different types of learners in the clinical setting
  • Identify ways to improve student performance in the clinical setting

Skits

  • Describe the VARK learning strategies.
  • Identify ways to improve student performance in the clinical setting

Panel

 

  • Identify tools or strategies the clinical instructor can use to improve student success in the clinical environment
  • Identify strengths and areas of improvement during clinical coursework

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form

Nurses: 3.75 contact hours awarded. Midwest Multistate Division Provider Approval #NE1025-1. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development is approved with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

 

Occupational Therapy and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants: This offering meets the continuing education criteria for 3.75 clock hours for Nebraska occupational therapists.

 

Physical Therapy And Physical Therapist Assistants: This offering meets the continuing education criteria for 3.75 clock hours for Nebraska physical therapists. This program has been approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for 3.75 credits. Approval #1099.

 

Radiologic Technology: American Society of Radiologic Technologists Department of Education reference #NED00810001 has approved this program for 4.25 Category A credits.

 

Respiratory: This program meets the continuing education criteria for 3.75 clock hours for Nebraska Respiratory Care Practitioners.

 

Surgical Technologists: This continuing education program is approved for 3.0 CE credits by the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc. for continuing education for the Certified Surgical Technologist, Certified Surgical First Assistant, and Associate members of AST. This recognition does not imply that AST approves or endorses any product or products that are included in presentations.

 

 

Education Credit: 3.75 Education hours. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development assigns education hours based on 60 minutes of classroom instruction for each offering. Participants may use these for their professional continuing education hours and toward re-licensure if so approved within the standards and guidelines of their discipline.
