This activity is being jointly provided by Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development, Sanford USD Medical Center, Hillcrest Health Services, and Immanuel Communities.


Value: $240.00

Cost: $72.00 for general registrants.


Methodist Health System employees who provide their employee ID number on the registration form may take this course at no cost. NMC Alumni who provide graduation year and last name at graduation may take this course at no cost. NMC students can attend at no cost but do not receive CE. Joint provider agencies can attended for a discounted rate.


All nurses, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical assistants, and individuals working with the older adult.


This program will provide current information and evidence-based practice guidelines that will enhance clinical and professional practice related to the care of the older adult. Topics will include crucial conversations through advanced care planning, harnessing the challenges beyond a pandemic, principles of medication use in older adults, and so much more!


Program Objectives:

  • Discuss integrating Age-Friendly Care across the continuum
  • Identify how to approach crucial conversations about advanced care planning
  • Discuss innovative ways to approach challenges during a pandemic
  • Examine the importance of self-care


In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

Medical Assistant: This program has been granted prior approval by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) for Course Number 139232 Category 6 CG continuing education units. Granting approval in no way constitutes endorsement by the AAMA of the program content or the program provider.

Education Credit

6.0 Education hours. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development assigns education hours based on 60 minutes of classroom instruction for each offering. Participants may use these for their professional continuing education hours and toward re-licensure if so approved within the standards and guidelines of their discipline.
