Primary Infection Prevention Track One: Prevention for All Health Care Settings, Acute Care Hospital, Ambulatory Care & Surgical Centers

Day 1: Wednesday, September 28, 8:00 am to 4:50 pm, Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center Auditorium, 8303 Dodge Street, Omaha NE, 68114.

 

Day 2: Thursday, September 29, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Nebraska Room, second floor of Methodist Hospital by the cafeteria, 8303 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE 68114

 

Attendees must be capable of wearing well-fitted, hospital-grade, multilayer procedural masks. Fabric masks, gaiters, vented masks, face shields and bandanas are not allowed. Appropriate masks will be provided at entrances. Fabric masks over surgical masks and nonvented N95/KN95 masks may be allowed.

Details

The Nebraska Infection Control Network (NICN) Primary Infection Prevention course offers a combination of lectures, discussions and educational activities pertaining to the prevention and control of infections in a variety of health care settings. The first day will focus on infection and prevention for all health care settings. Day two will focus on Acute Care Hospital, Ambulatory Care & Surgical Centers.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Choose at least one new infection control method to integrate into practice
  • Discuss ways to prevent and stop the transmission of infection

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:
