Sustainable Living: Effects of Climate Change on Lakes

The Sustainable Living Series is excited to offer a learning session on the Effects of Climate Change on Lakes hosted by Dr. John Smol. Dr. Smol is a Distinguished University Professor at Queen's University. He is also the founder and co-director of the Paleoecological Environmental Assessment and Research Lab (PEARL). Dr. Smol has received more than 70 awards for his research, outreach, and teaching and is a frequent commentator on environmental issues in the media. He teaches in the Department of Biology at Queen's.


This session with Dr. Smol will cover the effects of climate change on lakes and the importance of using appropriate time scales to assess common lake management issues that are made worse with a warming climate.
