The mock exam is an opportunity for AP students to participate in a practice exam in preparation for the actual AP exam; in addition, it offers teachers insight into the exam's expectations and the testing environment. The mock exam is administered by individual teachers at their own school locations during the administration window. The AP Mock Reading provides a professional development opportunity for AP teachers to gain an understanding of the scoring process and of the expectations of the College Board readers who will evaluate student exams in June.
If you are a 2021-2022 Program School or ITIP teacher you will be shipped mock exams directly from A+ College Ready in February and there is no cost to attend this event.
If you are a 2021-2022 Partner School teacher or an non-affiliated school, you will access mock exams by following the instructions outlined HERE; the school must print exams. There is a $200.00 fee to attend the Mock Reading ($100 for Partner school teachers). A+ College Ready will email each registered teacher exam labels for the Mock Reading. Please keep in mind that the primary purpose of the Mock Reading is to train teachers to accurately apply the AP scoring rubric. For this reason, and due to the volume of exams at the Mock Reading, partner school & non-affiliate teachers should plan to bring a maximum of 50 student exams to be scored at the Mock Reading.
Hotel Information:
If you are a participant traveling to attend this event, a limited number of rooms are available at the Springhill Suites Colonnade at the rate of $105 for this event. Availability of rooms is not guaranteed. As a reminder, all travel expenses are the responsibility of the school/district.
COVID-19 Statement
A+ College Ready will abide by the CDC and training venue guidelines at the time of the training event.
Teachers from A+ College Ready Program Schools (Cohorts 12,13,14, ITIP) may attend at no cost. Teachers from A+ College Ready Partner Schools may attend at a cost of $100. Non-affiliated and private school teachers are welcome to attend at a cost of $200.
Payment can be made by credit card or purchase order, but the purchase order number or name of your authorizing administrator will be requested as part of your registration. If paying by purchase order, the purchase order MUST be emailed to purchaseorders@aplusala.org before registration closes or your registration may be subject to cancellation.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations will be accepted until 3/30/2022 10:59 PM. A $200 no-cancellation/no-show fee may charged to the school or district of the registered participant if a registration is not cancelled.
A+ College Ready reserves the right to cancel courses by the registration close date if registration numbers are too low.
