2022-2023 Confirmation

This registration is open to students in 8th-12th grade (fall 2022) who have not yet been confirmed.

Confirmation Important Dates and Requirements:

• Confirmation Parent and Student Kickoff Event: September 18. Check with your campus location and rezlife director for details. There you will receive Confirmation materials and supplies and meet your Confirmation Mentors.
• Weekly Confirmation sessions begin Sunday, September 25, and go through February 12.
  • Full confirmation schedule is available on the website.
  • To be confirmed, students cannot miss more than 4 confirmation sessions.
  • Make-up sessions will be provided weekly on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm via Zoom.
  • December 11 is an offsite activity with your small group (visiting another United Methodist church). Details will be communicated by each group's small group mentors.
• Attend weekend worship services at Church of the Resurrection at least 10 times during the 2022-2023 Confirmation Session (either in-person or online at cor.org/live). Don't forget to register your attendance at cor.org/next so we know you're there!
• Participate in a service project (watch for details from your Confirmation mentors or rezlife Directors). Options for service projects include the MLK Serve Day on January 16 or church-wide Serve Saturday events.
• Serve as an Acolyte or Hospitality Volunteer in Worship Experience at least twice during the Confirmation season (Leawood Location only). Registration Form Coming Soon. Email acolyte@cor.org with any questions about serving as an acolyte.
• Attend the mandatory Retreat Night on Friday, February 24, 6:00-10:00 pm at Resurrection Leawood Student Center, Building C.
• Attend the Confirmation Ceremony on Sunday, March 5. Check with your worship location for details.
• Students must be baptized before they can be confirmed. If they have not been baptized, please indicate so on the registration form. A special Confirmation Baptism Ceremony will be held on November 6 at the Leawood location. Look out for the registration form at cor.org/confirmation. Fee is $75.00* per student.

Full payment will be due at the end of registration.

Scholarships are available upon request. Contact confirmation@cor.org to request a scholarship.

You may pay by eCheck, debit or credit card when you register. (Note: eCheck information is located at the bottom of the payment page.)

Cancellation Policy:

Any cancellations after September 1, 2022, will receive a partial refund of $55.00. Your refund will appear on your statement in approximately 7-10 days. No refunds will be given once confirmation sessions begin on September 25.
