Managers everywhere want employees and teams that are effective, focused, and committed to organizational goals. Teams only perform like this if their managers are creating a work environment that helps to motivate them effectively. By combining good motivational practices with meaningful work, the setting of SMART performance goals, and use of an effective reward and recognition system, you can establish the kind of atmosphere and culture that you need to excel.
The focus of this course is twofold: 1) Identifying and understanding the factors that influence motivation on a day-to-day basis in the workplace; and 2) Providing sound and practical suggestions for leaders who are interested in developing a motivating work environment. You will also have the opportunity to take a self-assessment to determine your motivational drivers and their congruence with your workplace.
