PACWI: 2nd Annual Lighting the Way for Women Leaders

Monday, October 31, 2022
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

McKissick Museum
Historic Horseshoe
McKissick Building 1501 Pendleton
Columbia, 29201

Look for the tables on the sidewalk in front of McKissick Museum.

The Provost Advisory Council for Women’s Initiatives (PACWI) invites faculty, staff, graduate students and friends to light a luminary and line the Horseshoe from the President’s House to Osborne to symbolize the need for more women leaders at UofSC.

All luminary supplies provided. Bring a bagged lunch and a blanket to socialize.

It is our hope to surpass last year’s over 100 luminaries and supporters.

** Registration Procedures Update **

In order for attendees to personally track their current registrations and attendance at workshops, presentations and events, the Center for Teaching Excellence requires that all registrants create an account in our registration system and login to register..

If you have an existing training account with the Division of Human Resources, Office of Organizational and Professional Development, you do not need to create an account. You can login using your HR training username and password. By logging in to register for CTE events, your complete training record for both CTE and HR trainings will be available with a single account and login.

Participants must attend a session in its entirety to receive credit for the workshop in their training records. Late arrival and/or early exit invalidates receiving credit. If technology issues require rescheduling of a session, participants must attend at the rescheduled time to receive credit. These policies apply to all CTE workshops/events, including workshops that qualify as requirements/electives for a certificate of completion.

Provost Advisory Committee for Women’s Initiatives (PACWI)

PACWI serves as an advocate for women-identifying faculty, staff and graduate students at the University of South Carolina (UofSC Columbia and Palmetto College) by providing engagement and educational opportunities and creating awareness and effectuating change for benefits, pay, equality and equivalent and unimpeded opportunities at UofSC.

Membership in PACWI is open to women-identifying faculty, staff and graduate students at the University of South Carolina (UofSC Columbia and Palmetto College). The goal is to represent a diversity of backgrounds, roles, academic disciplines and functional areas within PACWI.

PACWI also sponsors the annual Women's Leadership Institute offered in the spring to women in all higher education institutions in South Carolina.
