Texas Children's Hospital S.P.L.A.S.H. team is providing a Free CPR class for parents. The S.P.L.A.S.H. team stands for Swim Play Learn And Stay Healthy. This team is dedicated to providing water safety education to reduce and prevent pediatric and adolescent drownings. All parents and caregivers should learn CPR and refresh skills every year as an important layer of protection.
Instructors at this course will teach the American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver CPR AED course. The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. The course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
