Synopsis

CBCT has changed the way we visualize the dentomaxillofacial region, facilitated an accurate diagnosis and reliable treatment plan. The goal of this interactive course is to review different case studies, recognize when and how to implement three-dimensional imaging, and how to systematically approach CBCT scans. We will review different cases varying from implant planning, odontogenic and non-odontogenic lesions, root resorption, fracture cases.

 

Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the dentist will be able to describe and apply the following during direct patient care:

  • Recognize the impact of CBCT on diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Adopt a systematic interpretation method for CBCT evaluation
  • Identify most common anatomical variants and incidental findings.

About Our Speaker

Lea Al Matny, DDS, MS is a licensed Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist at SeeThru Reports and Clinical EducationSpecialist at Carestream Dental. She attended the University of Texas Health in San Antonio (UTHSA) where she received both a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and a Master’s in Dental Science. She is a reviewer for Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine and Oral Radiology (OOOO) and actively involved in multiple committees at the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR).
