This course consists of online modules on the UNM Moodle platform and four 'instructor-led classes (two for Part 1 and two for Part 2) that are being facilitated via Zoom. ***If you are unable to attend all 4 sessions, please wait and register for a future session.

You must complete the online modules and each of the instructor-led (Zoom) sessions, Part 1 and Part 2, in order to fulfill the FIT training requirements for new Family Service Coordinators. These online Moodle courses must be completed prior to registering. You will be required to upload your certificate of completion before you can register for the instructor led components.

You must attend the instructor-led (Zoom) training on the dates for which you have registered:

Thurs. 9:00 am - 12:15 pm

Part 2

Michelle Staley is a Training and Development Consultant at the Early Childhood Learning Network, a division of the Center for Development and Disability/UNM.  Michelle provides technical assistance and professional development training to Early Intervention programs throughout New Mexico.


Michelle has a M.A. in education with a focus on Early Childhood Special Education.  Michelle has been part of the Early Intervention community for over 25 years.  She is leader in child advocacy, training and development.  

Jen (Jennifer) Brown has worked in the disability field for over 25 years. She has a BS and an MA in Early Childhood Special Education and has worked in both the preschool and early intervention settings. Jen has been a part of the NM Family Infant Toddler (FIT) Program since she moved to Albuquerque in 1998. She was a Developmental Specialist and Family Service Coordinator prior to becoming a Training & Development Consultant for UNM’s Center for Development & Disability’s Early Childhood Learning Network. In this role, she has provided direct support and technical assistance to FIT provider agencies, developed a variety of resources, online and in-person trainings, and coached local-area Transition Teams since 2007.
