Home Visiting PICCOLO Training- Online
For HVT Program Managers, and Home Visitors

The PICCOLO™ In Practice sessions are held quarterly providing statewide home visitors with increased capacity, confidence, and opportunity to network. Home visitors will develop meaningful strategies to introduce, administer, and support parent/child interactions using the Parenting Interactions with Children Checklist of Observations Linked to Outcomes (PICCOLO™) with families enrolled in the NM Home Visiting Programs.

Presenting

Anna has worked in the Early Childhood Profession for 27 years and continues to learn and grow as an Early Childhood professional every day. She has been a preschool teacher in an NAEYC accredited program, at APS in Kindergarten and 2nd grade, Head Start/Early Head Start, and is now with the UNM Center for Development and Disabilities as a Training and Development Consultant for ECECD funded home visiting programs throughout New Mexico. Anna holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Multicultural Education and a M.A. in Early Childhood Special Education. She is endorsed by the New Mexico Association for Infant Mental Health. 


Julia Bergkamp has been serving children and families in New Mexico for over 10 years in both direct and managerial positions. Julia arrived in Taos, NM with her Bachelors of Social Work from The State University of New York at New Paltz, where she worked with a variety of populations and needs. Julia is working towards her MSW through NMSU. After exploring different areas of Human Services, she found her passion in Early Childhood, empowering and supporting families to reach their greatest potential. Julia has extensive on the ground experience working as a DSII/FSC and director of Early Intervention, Home Visitor and currently works as Home Visiting Consultant for the Early Childhood Education & Care Department. Julia comes with a backpack of tools and is a trained facilitator of COS-P, Love and Logic, Infant Massage and holds her Infant Mental Health Endorsement. She practices from the FAN model, using a reflective approach, and always stays true to her compassionate and authentic way of being.
