Assess commercial copy at a glance by breaking down the script into common copywriting themes, rules you should recognize, and writing hints that reveal the unique message every commercial script contains. Once you develop the technical muscularity required by commercial copy, you'll feel confident enough to tackle any VO script.

Jim Edgar works as a full time voice actor from his studio in northern California. A lifelong love of characters and storytelling led him to voiceover in 2007. He regularly provides VO for video games, narration, eLearning, audiobook, and commercial projects. A few of his favorite roles have included a talking scoreboard asking existential questions, a significantly unhinged Birdman of Alcatraz, and a Stormtrooper aggressively guarding holiday presents. Jim found that the many hours spent in recording studios over the years provided the expertise to help other voice actors set up great sounding workspaces. He has assisted hundreds to get their sound sorted out so they can simply focus on being brilliant behind the mic. Jim brings a deep understanding of recording technology and software to our classes - all from the perspective of a working voice actor. JimEdgarVoices.com | JustAskJimVO.studio
SAG-AFTRA, California's Labor laws, and the Krekorian Talent Scam Prevention Act state that casting workshops are allowed under the law but cannot offer auditions or employment as part of their services. By registering for a class taught by a talent agent, casting director, producer, or actor who hires talent, you are fully aware that it is not a job interview or audition. By attending a class through a Talent Training and Counseling Service, you further understand that the intent of the class is solely educational.
