This course is an introduction to understanding the critical elements involved with starting, expanding and managing a child care program. It provides a comprehensive coverage of business issues affecting the child care industry, numerous real-world examples to help business owners understand how to apply the business management concepts presented in the curriculum, and incorporates material and activities and shared experiences to help them improve their business practices. Topics to be discussed include start-up and operating budgets, professionalism, marketing, licensure upgrade, bookkeeping, operation policies and procedures, record-keeping, and preparation for tax time with helpful tips.
Target Audience- New directors and family child care providers.
