This workshops is for sponsored homes of CACFP by Child Care Services Association ONLY-The serious deficiency process of the Child and Adult Care Food Program was established to ensure compliance with USDA Food and Nutrition Service regulations and guidance. It offers state agencies, sponsoring organizations, and FNS the right to terminate for cause Day care Homes (DCH) that are not in compliance with federal regulations.
This workshop provides detailed information on the implementation of the serious deficiency process which helps ensure that the program is operated properly and that family child care homes receive the support and technical assistance they need. In this workshop, participants will examine information about:
• The serious deficiency process
• Suspension process
• Examine the six steps in the serious deficiency process.
• Identify Serious Deficiencies for family child care homes.
• Determine serious deficiencies.
• Review Corrective Action Plan
• Review Appeals process
