Using photo oil paints, pastels and encaustic wax we will add color to black and white photographs created in the darkroom. Students should bring found objects in addition to processed 35mm negative film to create a photo collage on a variety of papers. We will also use one of your prints to mount on a wood block for the encaustic process.
No darkroom experience needed.
Processed negative film is optional.
Course cost includes lab fee of $15.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Patricia Scialo currently lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She has been practicing in the field of fine art photography since 1979. Patricia has exhibited her work in three solo shows mounted by regional art centers and in numerous invitationals. Throughout her career, Patricia has also devoted herself to teaching historic and alternative photographic processes as an artist-in-residence at institutions throughout the East Coast of the United States.
