Let’s D-I-S-H! Directors Implementing Social-Emotional Health

Join us for an information-packed session that explores the CSEFEL Pyramid model, stresses the importance of social-emotional well-being and reviews resources for directors to share with teachers and parents about understanding and supporting social-emotional development. This is the key to unlocking your center’s plan for positive classroom behaviors, school readiness, content parents and happy teachers. FOR ADMINISTRATORS & OWNERS ONLY. (2 DCDEE contact hours)

Melissa Maybin is the Healthy Social Behavior Specialist for Region 8 and has been in that position for 12 years. In this position, Melissa works directly with preschool teachers in their classroom. Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with an Education Concentration. Her training includes DECA, CSEFEL, Flip-It, Facilitation Skills, Outdoor Learning Environments, TPOT & TPITOS Reliability, Mindful Coaching, Improving Young Child Mental Health, The Art and Science of Technical Assistance, and Practice Based Coaching among many others. 

Melissa has over 29 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She holds a Level 11 Early Educator Certificate with a TAE and PDE Endorsement. Melissa provides high quality on-site technical assistance to child care facilities throughout the western region and offers a variety of training topics for either contact hour credit or continuing education credit.  

Melissa is a member of 2 Quality teams, an Orientation Mentor for the Behavior Initiative Project as well as, a partner in the Community Health Improvement Process and Children of Incarcerated Family Members. She also collaborates with other regional partnerships and LICC teams.
