Course Information

What is Blended Learning?

The blended learning option provided by the American Heart Association is designed in two parts and is known as HeartCode BLS.

Part 1 is the cognitive portion of HeartCode BLS. It is online education using a scenario-based approach to learning basic life support skills including CPR, AED, and choking.

Part 2 is a structured hand-on skills practice session tailored to an individual's knowledge and experience. During this session, your instructor will guide hands-on practice and give feedback on skills performance. The session concludes with a skills assessment.

There is no textbook for this course.
