An Evening to Celebrate Survivor Resilience

Event Summary

On average, 900 unique individuals are sold for sex each month in the state of Nebraska. These individuals are often recruited from vulnerable populations, and are disproportionately affected by poverty, health disparities, and interpersonal violence. Survivors face a complex recovery that often must address issues of trauma, addiction, and safety. Magdalene Omaha was founded on the belief that love is the most powerful force for change. Magdalene offers sober housing, workforce development, and new beginnings for survivors of sex trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. Come listen to the stories of survivors, learn about local opportunities for support, and discover how you can be part of the change. This will be an evening dedicated to amplifying the voices of survivors and demonstrating the power of love and community support.
