The Illinois State Board of Education presents the 2021 Illinois Career Connections Virtual Conference on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 8:00am-4:00pm. Featured presenters at this career and technical education event include educators and industry experts from Illinois and beyond who have worked to make improvements in the areas of student equity and accessibility, integration of core academics with CTE courses, and community outreach and partnerships. Join us to hear their successes and insights, engage with other CTE educators and industry partners, and learn how to reshape the narrative of what career and technical education can look like for all of your students.

About Us

In a response to the growing needs for high-quality CTE programs, the Illinois Career Connections project will deliver two multi-disciplinary regional conferences throughout the state focusing on three overarching goals:

1. Improvement of instruction

2. Better alignment to core academics

3. Enhanced connections to career and postsecondary opportunities

Integral features of the conference will include hands-on and innovative learning opportunities that highlight various components of interdisciplinary education accentuated through CTE, including exploratory sessions, networking opportunities, industry-led partnerships, student showcases, educator recognition, apprenticeship programs.
