The Global Business Professional course is offered in collaboration with the Monte Ahuja Global Business Center. This 15-part online course was created in alignment with the NASBITE CGBP certificate for international trade, which is administered by NASBITE International and measures candidate’s grasp of applied concepts of global trade topics. Classes are typically intimate in nature with time to talk through how concepts relate to attendees’ day-to-day struggles and questions from their jobs.

Course Objectives:

This three-day program covers the essential how-to’s of global business basics for working professionals new to the realm of international trade. In addition, participants will be better prepared to obtain a professional credential, the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional. The boot camp covers topics across four domains of trade: Global Business Management, International Logistics, International Marketing, and Trade Finance. Here are a few of the many subtopics included in this 15-part hands-on course:

· Selecting and understanding the different modes of entry to foreign markets

· Reviewing marketing techniques to boost sales in global markets

· Understanding and using Incoterms appropriately

· Understanding payment mechanisms for global transactions

· Calculating the true landed cost of merchandise into a county of import

· Accessing the specific government-based tools, services, and grants for exporters

· How to choose the right international freight forwarders

· How to correctly comply with international documentation for customs clearance

· How to evaluate and conduct financial and security checks on foreign buyers

· Navigating the field of international trade compliance for U.S. companies (EAR/ITAR)

· How to best prepare yourself to pass the NASBITE CGBP exam

What Comes with the Course:

Registration includes a comprehensive workbook of all fifteen sections, both hardcopy and digital, a digital copy of the book International Logistics, 6^th ed. by David, and a complementary pass to take the CGBP practice exam. Additionally, daily lunch, snacks, and parking are included with your course registration.
