Enhance the Accessibility of Your Course: Small Steps that Have a Big Impact

The process of ensuring that course materials, documents and communications meet accessibility guidelines has a reputation for being time consuming and difficult. In this workshop, we will discuss small steps you can take that will have a significant impact on the learner’s experience. We will also introduce SensusAccess, a new self-service tool at Colgate designed to enhance document accessibility.

This will take place as a Zoom meeting. Participants will receive the link to join the meeting via their confirmation email.

 

 


Session Outcomes

At the completion of this session, participants will:

  • Understand the importance of designing and creating accessible courses

  • Employ accessibility enhancements in an existing course

  • Identify resources at Colgate to support accessibility when creating content
