SensusAccess Document Conversion - What is it and how does it affect me?

The process of ensuring that course materials, documents and communications meet accessibility guidelines has a reputation for being time consuming and difficult. This workshop will demonstrate and discuss the uses of SensusAccess, a new self-service tool at Colgate designed to enhance document accessibility. SensusAccess can be especially useful when working with PDFs.

This will take place as a Zoom meeting. Participants will receive the link to join the meeting via their confirmation email.

 

 


Session Outcomes

At the completion of this session, participants will:

  • Understand the importance of designing and creating accessible documents

  • Identify situations (course content or web-based communications) where SensusAccess can be employed to improve access

  • Use SensusAccess to convert documents to alternative formats

  • Identify resources at Colgate to support accessibility when creating content
