Easy DIY Maple Pumpkin Sugar Scrub is a body treatment that is specifically created to exfoliate the skin, sloughing off dead and damaged skin cells, unclogging pores, and increasing blood circulation to the skin. Pumpkin contains vitamin A, C, and E, and antioxidants, which help fight sun damage and wrinkles. It also has fruit enzymes that help naturally exfoliate dead skin cells.

Unlike grocery store extracts that often contain corn syrup and fake dyes this DIY vanilla and almond extract is all natural. 95 percent of vanilla extract for sale commercially isn’t made from vanilla beans, but from lignin, a byproduct of paper waste products that can be used to create “synthetic” vanillin.

Extract me from this pandemic! DIY Vanilla & Almond Extract

  • two 8-ounce glass jars
  • Optional, to make lemon extract:
    • 1 lemon
    • Additional 8-ounce glass jar
    • 8 ounces alcohol

Occu-pie My Thoughts! Maple Pumpkin Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/8 cup maple syrup
