A mola is a piece of traditional clothing worn by Central American women. Its bright colors in intricate patterns of flowers, birds, or animals are sewn in layers to create beautiful blouses. In this workshop, artist Kari Kaczmarek will teach you how to cut and layer different colored paper to form the many floral, bird, or animal shapes as a collage. When finished, this will be ready to be a shown work of art.
