The west coast of Ireland is known for its dramatic windswept scenery, charming seaside towns, friendly people, and tiny, twisting narrow roads that barely accommodate one car, which should be driven on the left side of the road. Two of our librarians, enthusiastic walkers, traveled there last fall with no fixed itinerary other than to see a bit of the areas of their ancestral roots, counties Kerry and Donegal. The only plan was to eat well. And to survive the driving part. They’d love to share some of their experiences with you.
