This talk is designed to help those interested in their German ancestry to make progress in developing their family tree, even if just starting out. The topics will range from understanding which U.S. records can be most helpful, to taking your first steps in accessing and understanding German records, with some emphasis on the goal of locating the birth of an immigrant in Germany. The speaker will include tips regarding things to be aware of when trying to interpret both German American and German records.
