How Not to Kill Your Patient: Importance of the Medical History
Friday, February 10, 2023
11:00 AM-12:30 PM ET
A joint live webinar series
Description:
Dentists are confronted daily with a wide array of medical complexities in the process of delivering high quality patient care. The large amount of information available on each disease process can make sorting through things daunting and inhibit dentists from providing care to certain populations. In addition, communicating with the medical community also has its own pitfalls. This course is set up to be a brief overview of the medical history and to highlight the most common complications in each of the seven physiologic systems. It includes important facts, relevant tests, and other key information when it comes to treating the medically complex patient. It also goes over the importance of medical consults and key things to ask for when completing them to encourage high quality responses.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
Audience: Dentists and Dental Hygienists
