This event meets Saturday, April 30th from 9:00-11:00. Those completing this professional learning off-contract and/or not currently being compensated by their employer for their participation, are eligible for a $35 stipend upon recorded attendance for the full 2 hours.

The Pyramid Model Consortium is offering Building Individualized Supports from their series Targeted Strategies to Support the Inclusion of Children with Disabilities. Building Individualized Supports is a 2 hour session and can be used for Supplemental Professional Learning hours.
Targeted Strategies to Support Inclusion of Children with Disabilities- Building Individualized Supports.

This session will focus on how to develop goals and how to intentionally embed these goals throughout the day. Strategies for creating meaningful goals with measurable objectives will be presented. This session will also explore intentionally embedding instructional and social opportunities throughout the daily in all daily activities. This interactive session will include group and breakout room activities.

Facilitator(s)

Ron Roybal is currently working in the PELE Center at the University of Denver for the Morgridge College of Education. His responsibilities have included the LEAP USA and LEAP Outreach projects, the Professional Development in Autism project, the Colorado Autism Project, TACSEI and CSEFEL. He presents at national challenging behavior conferences and professional development / staff development days around the country. Prior to working at DU, Ron was a teacher in an early childhood inclusive classroom for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and typically developing students. His extensive experience in inclusive classroom settings as a teacher and coach for children with special needs and children at risk or with challenging behaviors bring a unique perspective as a trainer and coach.
