This session will discuss the latest news on documenting and coding Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and describe why they are important and implications for future quality and payment opportunities.

 

Objectives:

 

  • Discuss a brief overview of SDOH definitions and their impact.
  • Describe the codes and coding guidelines related to coding SDOH diagnoses codes.
  • Provide resources for additional materials and forms that can be used by the participant in their facilities/practices.
