Review the need to audit CV/IR cases to see what payment issues your facility may have. Lisa will also discuss some of the common issues that cause denials or delay reimbursement such as medical necessity, prior authorization not matching procedure, charge accuracy and educating department staff, pass-through payment tracking, identifying inpatient-only procedures, appealing denials, and most importantly proactive education with physicians, procedural department staff and physician office staff.
