Course Description

An educational grant has been provided for this program by Delta Dental of Pennsylvania.

There are many reasons dentists avoid incorporating CAD/CAM and 3-D imaging technology into their practices. This fun, energetic talk will cover ROI, incorporating these technologies into your practice and engaging/empowering your team to embrace and utilize these new workflows.? For the CAD/CAM portion, not only will single unit restorations be discussed but also smile designs and the multiple benefits to restoring implants in your practice with CAD/CAM vs a lab. On the 3-D imaging side, we will dispel the fear of, “What if I miss something….?” and concentrate on the improved diagnostics and case acceptance that come with having this technology at your disposal. Additionally, we will cover fabricating surgical guides (3D printing!), screening patients for sleep apnea by segmenting the patient's airway and other ways in which 3-D imaging impacts your practice, even if you're not placing implants. This course is for those who are considering CAD/CAM & 3D imaging and new users who wish to know how these technologies can impact their practices for the better.

Upon completion of this course, participants will learn:

  • ROI of CAD/CAM vs traditional lab and why 'same day dentistry' is superior
  • How to schedule for single-visit dentistry
  • The various materials available and how to select appropriately ?
  • How to screen for Obstructive Sleep Apnea using 3D imaging
  • How 3D printing can improve office efficiency
  • How 3D imagining increases case acceptance
  • How 3D imaging increases diagnostics & motivates patients to seek treatment
  • How to use 3D imaging to evaluate a tooth prior to RCT
