Overview:
There are many reasons dentists avoid incorporating CAD/CAM and 3-D imaging technology into their practices. This fun, energetic talk will cover ROI, incorporating these technologies into your practice and engaging/empowering your team to embrace and utilize these new workflows.? For the CAD/CAM portion, not only will single unit restorations be discussed but also smile designs and the multiple benefits to restoring implants in your practice with CAD/CAM vs a lab. On the 3-D imaging side, we will dispel the fear of, “What if I miss something….?” and concentrate on the improved diagnostics and case acceptance that come with having this technology at your disposal. Additionally, we will cover fabricating surgical guides (3D printing!), screening patients for sleep apnea by segmenting the patient's airway and other ways in which 3-D imaging impacts your practice, even if you're not placing implants. This course is for those who are considering CAD/CAM & 3D imaging and new users who wish to know how these technologies can impact their practices for the better.

Steven Hernandez, DDS
Dr. Hernandez has maintained a private practice in Nashville, TN since 2008. With over 12 years of CEREC experience and 9 utilizing CBCT, he has delivered thousands of restorations and utilizes cone-beam guided implant surgery to provide his patients the least invasive and most efficient procedures available. He works as a CEREC trainer for Patterson Dental and has been a CDOCS Mentor since 2013. He is currently a CDOCS Faculty Member and teaches the ConeBeam Basic course at their Charlotte location. Most recently, he has incorporated 3D in-office printing and sleep dentistry into his practice. As his career has advanced, he has greatly enjoyed sharing his experiences with other dentists as well as helping them incorporate these advancements into their practices so that they develop the same passion and success for providing excellent dentistry that he has received.
