Creating Accessible Courses in Canvas: Designing Proactively Before Accommodation Letters (1 BC hr)

Event Description: Course accessibility and universal design principles are not ON or OFF. They are part of the journey you are already on: pursuing the best ways to meet the educational needs of your students. What if each semester you prioritized adding one new accessibility habit to your course design workflow in Canvas? What if those layers of accessibility built up semester after semester, until that beautiful moment when you're reading an accommodation letter and realize 'I've prepared for all of that!' We'll give you entry-level through advanced tips for ensuring an accessible course plus step-by-step tutorials on how to make it all happen in Canvas.
