This presentation reviews current theories for motor control, motor development, and neuroplasticity. Concerns and red flags for atypical development will be discussed. Both behavioral signals/concepts that impact neuroplasticity will be highlighted with applications to clinical practice explored.

Sara Kerrick, PT, is a physical therapist at Mary Bridge Children's Therapy Puyallup with more than 37 years of pediatric experience. NDT-trained, Sara has a master's degree in rehabilitation medicine with an emphasis on pediatric physical therapy from the University of Washington. She has a special interest in cognitive functioning and the impact on mobility as well as exploring use of outcomes to guide Clinical Practice.
