'Resilient and Reconvening' Preparedness Symposia and Risk Communication/Volunteer Management Workshop
These events will be held May 19-20, 2022 at the Harms Advanced Technology Center - WNCC, 2620 College Park, Scottsbluff, NE 69361.
The 'Resilient and Reconvening' Preparedness Symposia will be held on May 19th and will have a $50 registration fee. The Risk Communication/Volunteer Management Workshop will be held on May 20th and will have a separate $50 registration fee.
You are welcome to attend either training or both of them through this one registration. Indicate on the registration form your preference and costs will be assigned based upon your selection.
Registration/check-in begins at 7:30 AM (coffee/refreshments provided), with the program beginning at 8:00 AM each day.

“Resilient and Reconvening” is the focus of the 2022 Preparedness Symposia. Sessions will provide practical ideas and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and other emergencies, as well as insight into the future, all with the goal of improving whole community preparedness.

May 20th - Risk Communication and Volunteer Management Workshop - Registration fee $50
The Risk Communication session will explore new concepts in Emergency Risk Communications within the context of the challenges experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic. Strategies will be explored to build trust, improve message development and delivery, manage social media, combat misinformation, minimize confusion, and ensure transparency and equity.
The Volunteer Management session will discuss the utilization of volunteers prior to and during disaster response operations. Concepts will include recruitment of volunteers, legal issues and planning for both affiliated and spontaneous volunteers. This workshop will cover concepts of credentialing, training, activation, engagement and retention following a participant centered format.

Registration fees are non-refundable, if you are unable to attend you may send someone else in your place or transfer your registration to another Symposia session.
