Course Details

Course Description

This is a 1-day course specifically designed to address surgical incisions and suturing techniques for teeth and implants with use of Piezo surgery. Incision types, flap reflections and suturing techniques will be covered in detail through lectures and surgical videos to prepare the participants for everyday dental surgery. Clinical scenarios will be used to highlight Piezo surgery technology including minimally traumatic tooth and implant extraction and split ridge techniques. During the hands-on workshop, the participants will perform extraction and ridge preservation as well as various incisions and suturing techniques on pig jaws.


Course Objectives

At the completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Recognize applications of surgical incisions for teeth versus dental implants.
  • Perform surgical incisions and flap reflection on pig jaws
  • Perform atraumatic extraction and ridge preservation.
  • Practice different suturing techniques for teeth and implants.
  • Learn different suturing method
